Healing with Parts Work: A deep dive into parts work inspired by Internal Family Systems (IFS) Principles

March 29, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

$60.00 – $150.00

Have you ever tried to make meaningful changes in your life but felt that you sabotaged your own efforts? Have you experienced feeling stuck but weren’t sure why? Maybe you have had difficulty making important decisions or knowing what path to take. These are some of the challenges that Internal Family Systems can help us address. Join us for a six week dive into IFS inspired healing work. We are excited to share our love of IFS work with you on this journey! We hope that you will find it as transformative as we do. Beginners with no experience welcome, as well as those familiar with the model. This course is not intended as therapy of any kind.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a method of healing that views the individual as a multiplicity, containing inner parts, each with their own intelligence and role. IFS is a non-pathologizing model, we strive to befriend each of our parts with curiosity and compassion, understanding their stories, fears, and roles. This is the power of parts work, as our parts are heard and understood they begin to shift and release behaviors that no longer serve them. This shift allows us to live a more “Self-Led” life, where the Self emerges as the Calm, Creative, Confident leader and guide of the internal system.

In this 6-week experiential course, we will dive into the workings of Internal Family Systems and how to use it in your life to gain access to your own healing wisdom.

Considerations for the sliding scale:

Consider paying less on the scale if you:

are supporting children or have other dependents

have significant debt

have medical expenses not covered by insurance

receive public assistance

have immigration-related expenses

are an elder with limited financial support

are an unpaid community organizer

are a returning citizen who has been denied work due to incarceration history

Consider paying more on the scale if you:

own the home you live in and comfortably afford repairs, mortgage, and upkeep

have investments, retirement accounts, or inherited money

travel extensively recreationally

have access to family money and resources in times of need

work part time by choice

have a relatively high degree of earning power due to level of education (or gender and racial privilege, class background, etc.)

The scale is intended to be a map, inviting each of us to take inventory of our financial resources and look deeper at our levels of privilege. While we ask you to take these factors into consideration, please don’t stress about it. Pay what feels right.
