Encounter God - Be Renewed
Join us for a 9 session exploration in building Beloved Community by learning the principles and steps of Kingian Nonviolence. Together we’ll transform old ideas while we grow through our study of Healing Resistance by Kazu Haga. Our group will engage with spiritual practices, book study, and meaningful discussion to support participants in meeting today’s complex (social, political, relational) challenges. We’ll create sacred space to learn, grow and live into a commitment to nonviolence within the context of community.
A commitment to nonviolence is a commitment to restoring relationships and building Beloved Community: a world where conflict surfaces as an opportunity to deepen in relationship, a world where all people understand our interconnectedness, and a world where- as stated in the Kinginan nonviolence curriculum – “all people have achieved their full human potential.” – Kazu Haga
Beginning October 6th, from 6:30pm – 8:30pm, we’ll meet the first Thursday of the month for 9 months. We ask that you commit to participate in at least 7 out of 9 sessions. Once we begin, this will be a closed group to nurture relationship and safe space.
Fee: Suggested donation of $40 plus the purchase of the book Healing Resistance by Kazu Haga
