Art Opening: The Unusual & Original Art of Patricia Masters

The show will include the various kinds of art enjoyed and practiced by Patricia – collage, acrylic pour paintings, abstract design and needlework. In her art, Patricia tries to express her humor and her spiritual interests and understanding, particularly the collision of chaos and order evident in our world.
Patricia Masters is an Artist and Friend of the Journey Center. She has had a lifetime of spiritual practice (described in her book: From Buddhist to Catholic), and found her way to the Journey Center years ago and volunteered to do the flower arrangements. Though she had been creating collage and small artistic gift items for years, positive feedback on her flower arrangements from members of the staff and community (like the one from Julie Miller, below) gave her the confidence and interest to begin creating more and different kinds of art. She therefore considers the Journey Center to be both her muse and her benefactor.
