As a spiritual director, Christopher has a passion for accompanying others on their journey as they seek God in their everyday lives. Christopher has a penchant for men’s spirituality and new monasticism, and is intrigued by the process of letting go of the ego in our post-modern culture (not an easy task—especially for men—yet spiritual maturity calls us to do just that). He sits with clients across faith traditions. In February 2018, he was received as an oblate with the community of monks at New Camaldoli Hermitage.
Many of you know Christopher Huber, both a former Executive Director of the Journey Center Santa Rosa and a spiritual director. He is currently developing his first online course, titled Beyond Sunday Spirituality: 5 Habits for a Deeper Connection with God in Daily Life. Sounds like a great course, doesn’t it!?!
And in a recent survey he conducted, men reported the top challenge in staying connected with God in daily life was slipping into “autopilot.” Christopher really resonated with this on a deep level. He gets it.
So, in response to the survey results, he wrote A Guide for Overcoming Autopilot because he wanted to offer something that would help others recognize autopilot and give them tips for overcoming it.
